Water leak detector testimonials
When purchasing a product, especially over the internet, it's valueable to know what previous users of the product have thought about it. Here are a number of comments made by users of the Floodstopper product.
"We believe that mold and mildew from water leaks is becoming a major issue in the industry today and we are installing the FloodStopper System in all of our new homes. We are hoping it will also assist our homeowners in insurance cost reductions. On the economy of scale, for what it costs us to put in a FloodStopper System, it just doesn't make sense not to do it. It would be like not putting carpet in the bedroom."

"Shortly after we had a FloodStopper installed in our North Central San Antonio home, my wife called me at work to say the water in the house was turned off. I told her to go around the house and check, that we probably had something leaking. She did, but couldn't find anything, not around the sinks or toilet, so I told her to go out in the garage and hit the re-set button. Moments later she called back, saying the water had shut off again. It was then that I remembered that there were sensors placed underneath our A/C pans. I told my wife to look under the A/C unit in the hallway closet. She pulled off the grate, and sure enough, she said it was chock full of water under the air conditioner. It was starting to come out onto the carpet and seep out. When I got home from work we mopped up the water with a sponge and contacted the air conditioning repairman, who cleared out the clogged condensation line in the unit. If we didn't have the FloodStopper System, we would have run the air conditioner all day and night and woken up to find water in the hallway, in the baby's room, everywhere. We would have lost carpet in the back half of the house, for sure. Instead of costing me a $500 deductible, we were out a 35-cent sponge."

"Recently your system saved me from a major insurance claim. At midnight I was asleep in bed when the security company phoned and alerted me to a silent alarm that indicated there was a water leak in the house. The high pressure hot water line had blown out from its connection to the dishwasher. The water supply to the house had been automatically turned off and there was no water coming from the line. I corrected the problem and reactivated the system. Had this leak continued all night, or even for a few hours, the damage would have been very serious. Hardwood floors and expensive photographic and computer equipment on the lower level would have been ruined. I am sure the insurance claim would have been in the region of $15,000 to $20,000. With your system there was absolutely no damage. This is an excellent product which should probably be installed in every home. I have no hesitation to recommend it to my friends and to anyone who might read this letter.

"We installed a FloodStopper system in our four-unit townhouse complex. I got up one night to use the facilities and when I flushed the toilet it was apparent the water wasn't filling the tank... I could hear the audible sound of an alarm going off. When I checked the FloodStopper master control, I discovered the copper pipe feeding the dishwasher valve had come off, setting off the sensor and shutting the water main. What a sense of security when you think about the mess we could have had if the water had run all night long into the basement and more than likely, into our neighbors' homes as well."

"My daughter came home one evening late, did a clothes wash and put in too much soap, resulting in a bubble bath for the sensor. The system shut the water off immediately. The money invested in your system is the most valued home investment one could make and I highly recommend it for retrofit as well as new construction."

"Thanks for the opportunity to give testimony regarding my Floodstopper System, which was installed over two years ago. You will no doubt remember the reason I was so anxious to get the system installed as quickly as possible. We had just experienced extensive water damage to over 2/3 rds of our home. A commode malfunctioned, overtaxed the septic system after running continuously for 13 hours while we were away from home. Water depth in two step down living areas seriously compromised expensive paneling on the walls. Again, after installing Floodstopper, a grand child accidentally plugged up another of our commodes. We found out about it when we noticed the water in the entire house was shut off. The remote sensor had done it's job and had prevented another miserable, frustrating, and EXPENSIVE in house flooding experience. Based on past experiences and present peace of mind, I cannot understand why this system is not mandatory for builders and home owner, just as fire and smoke alarms. I have been a home owner for well over fifty years, and I can say without reservation that every house has the threat of water damage due to malfunctioning plumbing during it's lifetime. I absolutely would not be without the Floodstopper System in any home I owned. Please feel free to use my testimony in any way you may choose."

"My wife and I decided to purchase a Floodstopper System after we experienced the near flooding of our house one night while we slept. The water came from a loose connection in the hot water supply line under the kitchen sink. Fortunately, I discovered the problem before there was any major flooding and all the water was confined to the kitchen floor. If I had not gotten up to let our dog outside, I would not have discovered the problem before morning, By then, our entire house would have been flooded. After this episode I would shut off the house water supply each time upon leaving home and before retiring for the night. This is why we bought a Floodstopper System. Shortly after the FloodStopper was installed in our home my wife found that the water supply to our house had inexplicable shut off. Upon investigation I found that a leak had occurred in the water supply line to the toilet in the master bathroom. The Floodstopper System alerted us to this problem by shutting off the water supply when it detected the leak. I had to only clean up a small puddle of water and make a minor plumbing repair before restoring the water supply to the house. The Floodstopper System gives us a great deal of peace of mind, especially when we are sleeping or away from home. We applaud your company for developing such a great product."

"Last week we had a water filter installed on our refrigerator. The following day the FloodStopper System had shut off the water. The suspected culprit, the newly installed filter. The filter had a faulty connection, which was slowly dripping in a hidden lace behind the refrigerator frame. Without the flood stopper system the dripping would have continued indefinitely. I am sure that the FloodStopper detected a situation that otherwise would have persisted without detection or correction until after extensive soaking of the floor and wall would have occurred. My wife and I are certainly pleased to have this feature in our house."

"I am a homeowner in San Antonio, Texas and I have gladly had a Floodstopper System installed in my house. Previously, I have had two water leaks around my dishwasher that went undetected under my hardwood floors for weeks, until the floors started buckling. At that point, my floors were ruined and I had to make a claim on my homeowners insurance. Both times, I had to move out of my house for two weeks, while the floors were re-done. Now, with the FloodSstopper System installed, I will be able to detect when a leak occurs immediately and will be able to fix it without any major damage to my floors. Besides being a major money saving project to the homeowner, it can save our insurance companies thousands of dollars in claims."

"I am writing you in regards to the system that you installed in our new home at 26132 Phillips Place. We have been living in our home for 4 months and I have been testing the system monthly at your request. I felt we were not at risk as our appliances are new. The other day the hose to the fridge came loose and water poured out to the back of the unit. Immediately, the flood system shut down the water, saving us from a potential mess. We fixed the problem on the fridge and conveniently pushed one button on the floodstopper control pad and the water was back on. Needless to say I am very impressed with the system. We wish to thank you for this service and we would be pleased to recommend you and your product to others. You may use our story as a testimonial to future clients."

"This morning when Monica inspected our house, I showed her my Floodstopper System. I have sensors upstairs and downstairs at every point where there is a water connection under all sinks, Ice makers, washer, dish washer, water heater, and air conditioner and so on. Any leakage at any of those points will send a signal through a sensor to an electronic valve that will turn off the water throughout the house, and immediately stop any leaks, thereby preventing water and mold damage. In my opinion, this system will prevent most water damage events to a home. I would hope that major insurance companies such as Nationwide would evaluate this system, and encourage homebuilders and home owners to install them. Your customers should be offered an incentive to purchase such a system with some kind of discount to their home owners insurance, such as you do for home burglar alarms. I believe these systems would also go far in reducing claims for water and mold damage."

"Because of all the publicity about water damage and mold, my wife and I decided to install the Floodstopper system in our home while it was being constructed in the summer of 2001. Shortly after our home was finished and we moved in , in October 2001, we had an incident that convinced us we had make the right decision in having this system installed. My 10 year old son was taking a shower in an upstairs bathroom when he decided he needed a toy. He left the shower running and failed to draw the shower curtain shut when he got out, allowing water to escape. The toy proved harder to find than he expected and when he returned he found that there was a pool of water on the floor but the water was no longer running. He called to us about the problem and we realized that Floodstoppers had worked for the first time in our new home. It saved us at least ten minutes worth of water damage to the walls of our new home by shutting off the water automatically. Thank you, Floodstoppers!"

"I installed FloodStopper in my home and am extremely pleased with the results. 1. FloodStopper helped us detect a leak in the icemaker behind the refrigerator that was so small most of the water vapor evaporated before it hit the ground. 2. Because of FloodStopper, I chose a higher deductible on my homeowners insurance and saved substantial premium dollars. 3. When my wife and I go on vacation we are comforted by the thought that we will not be shocked by a major water loss when we return to our home."
